I really enjoy playing all types of board games: dungeon-crawls, card-driven games, dexterity, and even abstract. I’ve been involved in the gaming hobby since 1977 when I was introduced to Dungeons & Dragons. I soon discovered Avalon Hill wargames and all was lost. I had stopped playing games for nearly two decades, but my wife, Robin, brought me back into the fold when she bought her first Fantasy Flight Game and challenged me to play against her. We have two children, both boys, and they both love games!
My RPG history goes back to those heady days of a Gygax driven era. Anything TSR released was given a try, my favorites being D&D, AD&D, Gamma World (1st ed.), and Boot Hill. I also played Chaosium’s RuneQuest (1st ed.), Villains & Vigilantes (1st ed.) by FGU, Tunnels & Trolls by Flying Buffalo, and Traveller by GDW. RPGs continue to hold a special place in my heart, and while I rarely get a chance to run any games I surely love to read a good set of RPG rules.
In the real world, I have a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in History, and a Master’s of Social Work. I live and work in Glennallen, Alaska.
I published my first novel, A Wayward Tale, in December 2010, and the second in the series in 2015. If you like westerns with Civil War veterans as the protagonists, then just maybe my books are for you! Both are available at Amazon.
